We’re excited to share the latest enhancements to Cloudamize’s AI-augmented grouping capabilities, a set of meaningful upgrades designed to make your migration planning smarter, cleaner, and more actionable.
Enhanced Visualizations
Interacting with your migration data just got more powerful. You can now engage directly with grouping visualizations — simply select servers and communication lines to surface advanced, contextual information right on the canvas. No more digging through tables to understand what’s connected to what.

Highlighted Connection Density
Understanding how frequently servers communicate is key to making smart grouping decisions. That’s why we’ve introduced a “Times Seen” density value, visible in both the group visualization and individual server dependency tables. This gives you a clearer picture of communication patterns at a glance.

Recommendations & Waves Export
Planning is only as useful as what you can do with it. We’ve added the ability to export both Cloudamize Recommended Groups and the Wave Groupings you create yourself as a partner or customer. Take your migration plan wherever you need it.

Out of Scope Peers Visualization
Cluttered canvases slow down analysis. To help, we’ve introduced an “Out of Scope Peer (No Agent Communications)” toggle, letting you show or hide servers that lack agent-based communication. The result: a cleaner view and faster, more focused analysis.

Grouping Logic Enhancements
We’ve also refined the underlying grouping logic based on learnings from our initial release:
- Servers without application dependencies (i.e., no communication to other servers) are now specifically grouped and ordered at the bottom of the recommended grouping list, so they’re easy to identify and handle separately.
- Servers communicating with out-of-scope peers (sometimes called “No Agent Communication” servers) are now grouped together, making it easier to locate and inspect those connections.
On-premises connectivity varies widely across environments, which means group sizes will differ to reflect the complexity of your specific dependencies. Drawing on practical customer feedback, we’re continuing to align on optimal group sizes that simplify both management and migration execution.
As with all Cloudamize features, step-by-step guidance for these new features can be found in the Cloudamize knowledge base.
Coming Soon
We’re not stopping here. Stay tuned… more enhancements are on the way later this year.
Cloudamize continues to evolve its AI-powered migration planning tools to meet the real-world needs of partners and customers. Have feedback or want to talk? We’d love to hear from you.
